Dr. Parvez Hassan is the Senior and Founding Partner of the firm and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, enrolled in 1975, and of the Lahore High Court since 1969. He received his LL.B. from the University of the Punjab, his LL.M. from Yale University, and his S.J.D. from Harvard University. Dr. Hassan has taught at the Civil Services Academy, the National Institute of Public Administration, the Pakistan Administrative Staff College in Lahore, and the National Defence College, Rawalpindi. Earlier in his career, he worked as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York (1965-66), Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. (1965), and Satterlee & Warfield in New York (1963). He has served as Deputy Chairman (1989–1990) and later Chairman (1990–1996) of the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law, and is a member of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Council, the Environmental Protection Society of Pakistan (President, 1996), LEAD Pakistan (Chair, 1995–2001), and the Pakistan Environmental Law Association (President). His contributions have been recognized with several international honors, including the Global 500 Roll of Honor (1991) by the United Nations Environment Program, the Elizabeth Haub Prize (1998), Honorary Membership of IUCN – The World Conservation Union (2000), and the Wolfgang Burhenne Award (2008).
Barrister Khurram Raza is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan with around 30 years of experience in different legal fields, including banking & finance, structuring International business transactions, project financing, energy & power, tax, real estate, direct foreign investment, corporate & commercial, labor laws, accountability laws, white collar crimes, anti-money laundering, and securities transactions. He graduated from the Government College University, Lahore, and obtained his LLB (Hons.) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn called him to the Bar in 1995. He is also a registered practitioner at the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts. He also has a large number of reported judgments to his credit. Previously, he was a Senior Associate at Hassan & Hassan (Advocates), Lahore; a Legal Consultant and Additional Deputy Prosecutor General (Corporate Affairs) at the National Accountability Bureau, Lahore; and a Visiting Lecturer of Business Law at the Punjab College of Business Administration and Punjab Law College, Lahore.
Mr. Muneeb Zia is a licensed attorney and Senior Partner of the Firm. He possesses over 30 years of diversified legal experience with specialisation in banking and finance, companies and contracts, energy, investment, and regulatory affairs. He has advised numerous local and foreign clients on acquisitions, business set up, commercial transactions, competition, financing agreements, investment decisions, privatisation, procurements, restructuring, regulatory licenses, and telecom. He handled a number of commercial arbitrations and acted as arbitrator in several of them. Mr. Zia has been involved in legal and regulatory reforms for over two decades. He advised the Ministry of Finance, Pakistan, on economic law and policy, and represented the Government of Pakistan before several international institutions for over a decade. He has been a consultant on regulatory reforms with the World Bank, UNODC, USAID, IFC, GIZ, FAO, and ADB for over 20 years. He is a trainer on regulatory frameworks and has been conducting capacity-building work for over 10 years for government departments and regulatory authorities, including ANF, FIA, FBR (I&I), Police, SBP, and SECP.
Mr. Asad Ahmad Ghani is an Advocate of the High Court with over sixteen years of professional experience in corporate, commercial, and civil litigation, as well as commercial transactional work. He graduated from the University of the Punjab with an LL.B. (2007, with distinction). He joined the Firm in December 2008, became a Partner in 2015, and has served as the Managing Partner since 2024. His practice spans corporate, civil, banking, finance, non-banking finance companies, modarabas, Islamic banking and financing, mines and minerals, intellectual property, competition and antitrust, foreign and local investment, telecom, estate management, revenue, international trade, power, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, consumer protection, labour, service matters, charities and non-profit ventures, and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Ghani has handled major litigation, mergers, acquisitions, schemes of arrangement, financings, arbitrations, mediations, expert determinations, and negotiations. He has also served as a Board Member of the Namal Education Foundation (2018–2020) and the Imran Khan Foundation (2018–2020). Since 2008, he has worked closely with Dr. Parvez Hassan, Senior and Founding Partner of the Firm, on all significant professional matters.
Barrister Haaris Ramzan is an Advocate of the Lahore High Court with over 15 years of experience. He holds an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London, a Bachelor of Computer Science, and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University London. He completed his Bar-at-Law from the Honorable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, and currently serves as President of Cross Edge Pakistan. Mr. Ramzan has worked extensively in areas of Power, Procurement, Health, Regulatory, IP, Energy, Banking, Consumer, I.T, ADR and International law besides representing Clients at different forums including the superior courts of Pakistan. He has represented Clients including Ministry of Water and Power, WAPDA, NTDCL, FBR, Government of the Punjab P&SHD, Labor Department, PFA, SAPS, PQD besides other state and sub-state entities. Mr. Ramzan has advised the Government of Pakistan on issues of international law and is amongst very few practitioners of international law. Muhammad Ikram is a graduate of the University of the Punjab LLB program. Ikram is an Advocate of the High Court with particular expertise in land revenue, civil, constitutional, and contractual matters, as well as cases involving special laws. He regularly appears before the High Courts and administrative tribunals in disputes relating to property, real estate, construction, and public law. Ikram regularly advises clients on property transactions, title verification, including review of legal and contractual documentation, particularly in matters involving land and finance. Ikram adopts a research-driven, solution-oriented approach across both litigation and advisory work.
Muhammad Abdullah Jehangir is a Barrister-at-Law from the Honorable Society of the Lincoln’s Inn, London. He holds an LLB(Hons) from the University of London along with an LLM degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Westminster. Abdullah has a special focus on commercial, civil, and constitutional litigation. Hashim Tatlah is an Advocate of the High Court and holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of London, having graduated with distinction. He is actively involved in managing the firm’s litigation in Civil, Revenue, Labour, and Banking jurisdictions. He regularly represents clients before the courts and tribunals, including Civil Courts, Revenue Authorities, Rent Tribunals, Labour Courts, Accountability Courts, and Cooperative Courts. Additionally, he also manages the firm’s IP and Compliance portfolio. He works closely with the senior partner on legal drafting, case preparation, and in-depth legal research, including the preparation of research memoranda for High Court and Supreme Court litigation.
Ms. Reeda Fatima Hayat is a graduate of the University of London, LL.B (Hons) program. Rida has several years of experience in corporate and commercial law, including advising on cross-border investments, capital structuring, and handling of contractual matters for Clients. She has also worked on international arbitration matters in the energy and infrastructure sectors and has handled agreements for projects in education and development.
Amber Niaz is a Barrister-at-Law from the Honorable Society of the Lincoln’s Inn, London. He holds an LLB(Hons) from the University of London and an L.L.M from Northumbria University. Her main forte lies within the litigation sector, mainly in the arenas of civil, revenue, constitutional, family, property, special laws, banking, and white-collar crime. Ms. Minahil Atif is a Barrister, holding an LL.B. from the University of London and an LL.M. degree. She received her Bar training in London and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Lincoln’s Inn. She is enrolled as an Advocate with the Punjab Bar Council and is a lifetime member of the Lahore Bar Association.
